🦬 The Way of the Bison

The bison are native to our plains regions in the United States, and are a majestic herd animal.

One thing that sets them apart from other large mammals here now (like horses and cows – both imported by the Europeans) is the bison’s tendency to run head first into a storm.

When the clouds darken, rain looms, and thunder strikes – the bison charge the storm head on. As a herd.

They know it’s better to charge, and meet the storm together, than to keep running away trying to avoid trouble.

Us humans tend to “make mountains out of molehills,” and we typically procrastinate and turn a challenge into something much bigger than it needs to be.

There’s a thing called the Pain Paradox, which states that “short-term easy leads to long-term difficult, while short-term difficult leads to long-term easy.”

So be like the bison. Charge into the storm, with your herd of teammates, and get after that long-term easy.

I choose the way of the bison. Are you in?
