Here are the assignments for the U.S History Class that I teach. They are separated / organized by title or unit. Click above for separate pages covering projects and journals.

STANDING ASSIGNMENTS

Notes on Chapters / Sections
As per instructions in class, you will need to complete and submit a set of notes according to the format available here. See an example here. Each set of notes are due according to the schedule in class (listed on the board and calendar). Make sure to have your notes in on time. All notes are considered homework, but you may have some time in class to either begin or finish (but don't count on it!).

Download the History Notes Template Here!

Flash Cards / Note CardsA set of flash cards / note cards are due for each chapter that we discuss in class. A minimum of 15 are due as assigned, and there is opportunity for 5 bonus points if you do 20 or more. The flash cards should cover important vocabulary items from the text, and can easily be completed in less than one hour. Sometimes we'll spend time in class doing them, but not always.Suggestions for success: Buy at least 300-400 cards (about $3.00), and a couple of rings to hold them together (see Mr. Johansson for questions). Save the cards throughout the semester to use for the tests, especially the midterm and final tests.
