In the Going Places program, you will have some weekly assignments to complete as part of the overall program, fostering your growth as a life-long learner.
In the first part of the semester, we will explore what habits good learners exhibit, and what those habits really mean to you in your daily life. For each week, you will have a short piece to read regarding one of the habits, and you’ll be asked to reflect on each habit impacts you.
For each reflection, you’ll need to answer some questions. Please make sure that you explore all aspects of questions, and really give a quality answer. Make sure you’ve seen the syllabus, and points available. For each weekly reading, we expect that you have your assignment in on time – no exceptions. The assignment will show up on Monday morning around 8 am, and will be due by Friday afternoon. You will have an assignment due every Friday for the entire fall semester.
All of you have been added as contributors to this website, and have been notified of that via email. If you haven’t, or there’s a problem, you need to address that immediately, which means you’ll need to contact me directly.
For each weekly assignment (responding to the Habits of Mind assignments), you’ll follow the instruction in those posts, and in most cases, leave your answer as a comment to the blog post. Simply leave your answer below the post, filling in your real information in order to receive credit.
If you have any questions about any of this, make sure you ask questions before any assignment is due, and preferably a few days beforehand…
