“Portraits of…”
A project highlighting the importance of the “other” people of World War II.
Too often, soldiers and combat get the glory through wars, but we forget the people behind them, the men, women, and kids that lived their lives at home, going through daily life. The milkman, the housewife that worked in a factory, the teenager that had and older brother in the Army. What was life like for them?
Students are asked to create a portrait of these everyday people, in order to gain a holistic view of war, and its societal tolls.
