Monopoly

I use the table-top game Monopoly when discussing market structures.

Here are some documents I use with the students when playing, enhancing the game, as well as marrying market structures with financial accounting and personal financial literacy.

In order to spend less time than a week plying Monopoly in class, I use modified rules to get the game started quickly:

For financial accounting reasons, I have students keep track of how much they spend, have on account, etc. Also, it allows them to play without using the cash money, which slows the game down. They simply keep track of their balance on the sheet. This also helps with play from day to day. Here are those forms.
