How to set up a blog...

Below follows the few simple steps it takes to set up a blog using the free service from www.blogger.com. Please read the comments on smart name selection, and other things to take into consideration when setting up your blog.

Step 1

Open a web browser and go to www.blogger.com

Step 2

Click on the link / arrow that says ‘CREATE YOUR BLOG NOW’. It’s located on the middle of the page, on the right hand side.

Step 3

Create your account by following the on screen instructions.

NOTE: Keep in mind that you may not want to display your real name and other information in the ‘DISPLAY NAME’ field. All of this information can be edited at a later time, but you may as well start off on the right foot.

Step 4

Name your blog. The blog title and the URL can be different.

NOTE: You may want to make this as simple as possible. Someone else may have already taken your URL selection. In that case, you’ll need to choose another. make sure to spend some time choosing a good name for your blog - take the audience into consideration. Who will read your blog?

Step 5

Choose a template. This is what your basic layout of the blog will be. You can change this later as well. Again, keep your audience in mind.

You are now done creating and setting up your blog.
